Speakers are mechanical devices that convert electrical sound
waves to acoustical sound waves. However the Speaker Cone, being
mechanical, cannot reproduce all the frequencies with the same relative
intensity as the sound source that generated these frequencies.
To correct for this inability of the Speaker Cone to reproduce all of the
frequencies with the same relative intensity as the Sound Source,
a Dedicated Equalizer (in
the Amplifier) is used to correct this problem.
From a Clarity and Intelligibility Perspective it is very
important for the Speaker to reproduce all of the Sound Source Frequencies
with the same intensity as they are generated.
