Echo Degrades the Audio Clarity and Intelligibility.
Here are Four Ways to Minimize Echo in the Classroom.
|
- Use a "Flush Mount" Speaker.
- Use "Only One" Wide Dispersion Speaker.
- Reduce the Reverberation Time
in the Classroom.
- Decrease the Amplified Sound Level or Volume.
(The Higher the Volume the more perceptible is the Echo.)
|
Speaker "Mounting Surface" - Echo
|
 | Conventional Speakers, mounted away from the Wall or
Ceiling,
emit sound directly plus reflected sound from the Mounting Surface.
(This Reflected Sound from the Mounting Surface degrades
the Audio Clarity.) |
 | Flush Mount Speakers are
mounted Flush with the Wall or Ceiling and emit sound
without any Mounting Surface Reflections - Echo.

|
"Multiple Speaker" - Echo
|
 | "One" Speaker generates One Half the amount of
Echo
than "Two" Speakers. |
 | "One" Speaker generates One Quarter the amount of
Echo
than "Four" Speakers.
